We are working toward establishing a museum.

The Tahltan Museum Project is an initiative in development. This website presents ideas for a future museum, and this book is an upcoming community project. Neither the website nor the proposed book represents an approved collection or a completed museum.

No publication date has been announced. Project plans and content will be updated as the work develops.

Stories behind the artifacts

The proposed book offers a way to bring together the histories of artifacts and the memories, knowledge, and relationships that give them meaning.

Its intended focus is Tahltan history from time immemorial, told through artifacts and the people who have helped preserve them. Community guidance will shape which stories are included and how they are presented.

Community voices guide the work.

Elders, families, knowledge holders, artists, and community members are invited to help shape the project through ideas, corrections, and stories they wish to share for consideration.

Contributions may help identify an artifact, explain its family or place connections, or remember someone who cared for it. Sharing an idea does not give permission to publish it.

Cultural review comes first
